Jamaican Reggae sensation, Buju Banton, landed in Kenya last night ahead of his much anticipated show at the KICC Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) tomorrow, Saturday.
Buju, who is hitting Africa for the first time, was welcomed by a team of traditional dancers when he arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, and he got a feel of the Maasai culture.
The concert would serve as a reprieve following days of mourning for Kenyans who went for the public viewing of the body of the late retired President Daniel arap Moi at the Parliament Buildings, adjacent to the concert venue.
Other entertainers to precede Banton’s performance include DJ Kriss Darlin, DJ Moh, MC Teargas, while media personality Njambi Koikai is the official host for the event.
The concert attendees are expected to check in as early as 6PM with the show kicking off at 8PM.
