Nigeria has recorded 462 confirmed more cases of the deadly coronavirus to bring the tally nationwide to 43,151.
With 19,565 recoveries, 22,707 still active and 879 deaths, there appears to be a steady fight against the virus, but the NCDC saying it has tested 279, 675 samples as at July 30, 2020 from a population of about 200million people, that is an abysmal 0.14% testing being carried out.
Data released by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, showed that only 15 of 36 states carried out test, and we can attribute that to the public holiday announced to celebrate the Eid Al Adha. But the pandemic is far from over, so why halt testing?
