Sowore begins Hunger Strike over Continued Detention


Convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore, has embarked on hunger strike.

The Sahara Reporters publisher cum politician, is protesting his continued detention by the Department of State Services (DSS) despite two separate court orders granting his release on bail, which he had met.

His legal counsel, Femi Falana (SAN), confirmed the development saying Sowore has also refused to receive visitors, nor take his meals “in protest that his rights are being violated.”
