Yorubas Set To Hold “Amotekun Solidarity Walk”

It’s no longer news that a new security outfit has been launched by the Yoruba World Congress (YWC), an umbrella body of all Yoruba socio-cultural groups. The new development has attracted several attentions from many prominent Nigerians, groups and bodies.

Some see the outfit as a good development, others have described it as demeaning to the already existing constituted security bodies and the Federal Government haa condemned the body as illegal

The outfit was unveiled on January 9 by the South-West governors and it consists of members of the Oodua Peoples Congress, Agbekoya, vigilante groups and hunters, to wage war against the spate of insecurity ravaging the zone.

in response to the launch, YWC said it has concluded plans to organise a rally in all the six state capitals of the region on Tuesday, 21st January, 2020, to stage a protest rally in support of Operation Amotekun, urging Yoruba sons and daughters to come  out en masse.
